Among her administrative duties, you will often find Riley at the front desk handing out stickers, reading stories, or holding little ones while mamas receive some much needed bodywork. Riley is dedicated to making our office a welcoming, supportive space where every family feels seen, valued, and cared for.

Dr. Erica Hernandez, D.C. is a San Antonio native and the owner/founder of Empowered Chiropractic + Massage. She specializes in perinatal and pediatric care and loves caring for entire families, empowering them to seek the birth and life they desire. Dr. Erica is trained in a variety of techniques including Breech Release, Bone sculpting,
Dr. Erica Hernandez, D.C. is a San Antonio native and the owner/founder of Empowered Chiropractic + Massage. She specializes in perinatal and pediatric care and loves caring for entire families, empowering them to seek the birth and life they desire. Dr. Erica is trained in a variety of techniques including Breech Release, Bone sculpting, Spinning Babies and several chiropractic techniques. As an International Chiropractic Pediatric Association Webster Certified doctor, Dr. Erica actively continues her education to serve growing families. Dr Erica is also a DONA trained birth doula. Although Dr. Erica is not currently serving as a doula, she does strive to support the whole family as a chiropractor, empowering, educating and advocating for family's health, wellness, birth and breastfeeding journeys.
Dr. Erica Hernandez is an alumna of The University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned her B.S. in Biology. Following her undergraduate studies Dr. Erica attended Parker University in Dallas, Texas, earning a B.S. in Health and Wellness and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Erica’s motherhood journey has been as varied as it has been abundant.
In the final year of her graduate studies, Dr. Erica and her husband welcomed their first son, and the method of delivery changed from a gentle home birth to an unexpected cesarean delivery in the hospital. After graduation, Dr. Erica and her family moved back to San Antonio where she and her family welcomed their second baby. She had a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) baby in the comfort of their home and with the support of her midwife and doula.
Since Dr. Erica opened the doors of Empowered Chiropractic + Massage in 2017 to serve the community, her family has gone on to welcome their 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th children in their home.

Dr. Angelica was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and carries her heritage with pride wherever she goes. She moved to the United States with a dream of earning her doctorate, a goal she proudly achieved in 2020 from Sherman Chiropractic College. Since 2021, she has called San Antonio home, a city that has offered her the space to grow both personally and professionally.
Those who know Dr. Angelica often describe her as easygoing, honest, vibrant, and full of love. She is deeply family-oriented and dedicates everything she does to her loved ones. She is married to her supportive husband, Pedro, and together they are raising their daughter, Melody, her rainbow baby, who brings immense joy and color into their lives. Her happiest moments are spent with her family, who remain the driving force behind her purpose and passion.
In her free time, Dr. Angelica can often be found near the water, whether it's a lake, river, or beach. Outdoor adventures, complete with a portable grill, delicious food, and floaties, are among her favorite ways to unwind. Nature is her sanctuary, offering her peace and grounding.
A proud foodie, Dr. Angelica loves to cook, especially traditional Puerto Rican dishes that remind her of home. Music also holds a special place in her life, whether it's salsa, reggaetón, or soulful ballads, she appreciates any rhythm that moves her body or stirs her emotions.
Professionally, chiropractic care is more than just a career for Dr. Angelica, it is her calling. She is deeply committed to helping others experience a life free from nervous system interference. Her mission is rooted in hope, love, and healing, and she brings that energy into every life she touches. In addition to webster technique, Dr. Angelica is proficient in several other chiropractic techniques.
